Looking back at Pacific Fusion Fashion Show 2023. We explored the creative realms of designers and their own cultural ideologies of where they originate from and how that translates through their collections.

We also navigated what Pacific fashion fused with other cultures looks like and where it is headed. It’s no secret that the embodiment and inspiration of the pacific aesthetic hails from our heritage and where we descend from - fashion or not.

PACIFIC FUSION FASHION SHOW IS FOUNDED BY NORA SWANN, Pasifika Creative Entrepreneur, Fashion Stylist & Educator who champions Pasifika engagement in the NZ fashion industry

With a solid 11 years of fashion industry experience under her belt, Nora has spent the last decade pioneering events that showcase the skills and talents of Pasifika creatives in NZ. Notable initiatives include the annual Pacific Fashion Fusion Show, her community-based mentoring program, Dressed In Confidence, not to mention, leading NZ’s first Pasifika modelling agency.

Nora’s innovative approach to Pasifika engagement in the fashion industry speaks of her ability to create moments of community empowerment, individual creative expression and youth development.
